Youth Club Objectives:

Happy Children

  • To encourage and assist children and young people who share a common background to take initiatives, which will improve the quality of their lives and those of others.

  • To create opportunities and networks for children and young people to meet, exchange knowledge, share resources, and develop ways of working together for their own benefit.

  • To identify good practice, disseminate information and knowledge, and find ways to influence policy and practice for young peoples.

  • To encourage young people to come together into groups of their own choosing is the fundamental task of the Service.

  • To build the capacity and skills of young people so that they are better able to participate fully in society.

African Young People's Group Activities:

Arts and Culture - we foster arts alongside cultural activities valuing the cultural expression of children and young people and increase their opportunities to engage in activities relevant to their interests and backgrounds.

    • African Dance and Drumming

    • Cultural exchange programmes

    • Expressive arts

    • Weekend breaks

    • Day trips

    • Games

    • Training and advice - preparation for employment

    • Youth Voice - advocacy

    • Positive personal and social skills development activities

    • Signposting to appropriate services and;
    • Fun, more fun and much more fun.....

Interested in forming a similar group?

We support formation of youth cultural groups of any ethinic minority origin, we will support you in developing yourselves and advise on funding sources and other useful information.
